Product description
Angela Harding has lived in Rutland in the UK since 1988. She first arrived as Artist in Residence at Uppingham School and has been inspired by the British countryside ever since. She has a love for familiar garden birds and makes quick scribbles when she sees them out in the wild, so that she can develop them into formal designs in her studio.
Background Information about Flame Tree Publishing
"The purpose... is washing the dust of daily life off our souls” Pablo Picasso
We’ve been ‘washing the dust of daily life’ for over thirty years, making illustrated books since 1992, art calendars since 1998, notebooks since 2006, illustrated ebooks since 2009 and short-story fiction since 2015, and the launch of our genre fiction list in 2018. We aim, always, to make objects and books which are both beautiful and practical, that enrich the lives of the people who work with us and partner with us, who read and enjoy what we make.
The last few years have brought increased partnerships to bring more inclusivity across our entire list, from our short story submissions to the artwork in our calendars and notebooks, and 2022 saw a significant focus on sustainability with the removal of shrinkwrap on our calendars to create an entire programme of plastic-free products.
Throughout our list, powerful and eloquent artists such as Angela Harding and Alphonse Mucha are complemented by extensive licenses in our award-winning calendar line, with Bodleian library, The British Library, The Ashmolean, Tate, V&A, RSC, The Royal Academy and many other valued partners whose work we are privileged to publish.
