Background Information about Rachel Pedder-Smith
Rachel is a well-established Natural History Illustrator she has a longstanding relationship with Kew Gardens and spent many years illustrating pressed and dried specimens within the Herbarium.
Rachel studied at Royal College of Art for her MA and PhD. She has been awarded four gold medals from the Royal Horticultural Society. Rachel’s paintings have been adapted into Liberty Art fabric designs, she has had three solo shows in London and has been part of numerous group exhibitions worldwide.
Rachel Paints in watercolour and aims to depict natural history subjects with minute detail in interesting and dynamic compositions. She has recently moved away from London to the Suffolk countryside where she is enjoying being closer to her subject matters.
