Background Information about Selborne Pottery
Ceramicist Robert Goldsmith established his pottery in 1985. Drawing on skills rarely practiced today, Selborne Pottery’s stoneware is a tribute to rather than a mimic of the past, with each piece being hand thrown and decorated with no interference from machines or moulds. Deep cobalt blues and rich copper red glazes are a staple of this pottery, that provides a luxury touch to your home not normally provided by studio pottery.
Combining artisanal techniques such as fine brushwork and glaze trailing with the range of designs they offer, Selborne’s pottery is functional as well as beautiful with contemporary appeal. These are designed to be used and are oven, dishwasher and microwave safe.
