Amazing Rare Things

Amazing Rare Things - An exciting small works exhibition of affordable art - largely inspired by an exhibition of that title seen in Edinburgh a few years ago - and noted. Outstanding art resulted from voyages of discovery undertaken by artists from the 15th century onwards. Their encounters with exotic flora and fauna transformed scientific knowledge.

This is an open exhibition with selection process, encouraging participation by artists from different disciplines and stages in their careers.

We challenged artists to open their eyes to the known and unknown world of things, and also to dig deep into their imagination, concepts and feelings. Art is amazing in it’s own right - would you agree? And yes, landscapes, urban scapes, we consider amazing - so there is a broad spectrum of genres for your enjoyment.
