Nina Wright

For me the convergence of clay, heat, fire & food come together between my studio & kitchen, only yards apart. My aesthetic has developed over the last five decades since graduating with a ceramics degree, where I trained in the Leach & Japanese tradition. My work is inspired by the pure materiality of clay & glaze. All of my work is fired to 1250* in an oxidising kiln, leading to vitrification of the clay. Beyond the wheel & kiln, I am also a qualified psychotherapist. Both vocations present a journey to wholeness.
