Kate Buckley’s practice started from a fascination with folding paper: how it springs from 2D to 3D; creates curves from straight lines; and encloses the space between. She developed these ideas into porcelain and created a technique of press moulding onto origami-folded linen and cotton, folded with imperfect regularity.
