Our porcelain ceramics use new approaches to colour, texture and form to make them come alive. We start with an idea inspired by a natural form, which we develop into a digital design that can be extruded in soft wet clay using a 3D clay printer.
After hand building and throwing pots for nearly 50 years, we decided to experiment with 3D printing in clay to see what was possible. Our home-made 3D clay printer combines art, craft and technology in a new way. For six years we have explored new territory, making clay forms that cannot be made otherwise.
