Anne Haworth
Anne’s work is informed by the plant world above ground and under water. She creates sculptures which are complex and intricate using traditional skills.
The works are concerned with forms found in nature. Repeat patterns are a popular theme and design ideas often come from a walk in the woods or along a shoreline. These works reflect her curiosity and desire to absorb some of the intelligence of nature into the finished piece. The aim is to create work that is tactile and aesthetically pleasing. Working processes involve coils, slabs and creating small moulds from plants, fruits and vegetables
