These creatures began because while I live in a city, I am always looking for birds and animals, watching them and thinking we share characteristics. Add my love of folk tales, that also attach human attributes and powers and consider this during lockdown, trying to keep loved ones safe from an unseen danger, when our physical and mental health seemed under attack, while at the same time the natural world improved, cleaner, louder, less polluted.

This is the world the Caretaker Birds emerged into, sharing their own brand of joy, encouraging us to breath a bit deeper, nurture widely and take care.
