Prints
Our Print department features original limited edition prints, though not rigidly so. Considering recent technical developments in creative and experimental digital print making, we think this justifies inclusion. We do ensure that printers use archival inks, and where acid free paper, ensuring the longevity of the prints.
We have established artists representing the vastness of printmaking techniques, so this is no mere random collection, but consciously selected for this very variety, bringing so many different and exciting prints. Since the earliest historic beginnings of printmaking (woodcuts) printmakers are now fortunate to have wide choices including dry-point, etching, monoprint, carborundum, linocut and screen-print, frequently combing two or more techniques. Traditional use of these skills can often be a direct factor in the subject matter, though many of our artists explore new approaches in their creative expression, as in any art form.
